Privacy Policy
Live the Message is designed for church-based sermon reflection. We treat religious, prayer-related, and personal reflection content as sensitive information.
Conversations are private by default unless a user chooses to share a prayer request or contact the church.
Information we collect
Account information, such as name, email address, church affiliation, and role.
Church configuration, sermon notes, sermon transcripts, pastoral profile settings, and approved response examples provided by church administrators.
App content, such as chat messages, reflection notes, reading-plan activity, prayer requests, and feedback submitted in the app.
Technical information, such as device type, app version, diagnostics, crash logs, and usage events needed to operate and improve the service.
How we use information
We use information to provide sermon-grounded reflection, prayer, Bible study, guided conversation, church-specific settings, pastoral profiles, handoff rules, safety boundaries, security, troubleshooting, aggregate usage analysis, and legal compliance.
AI-assisted processing
Live the Message uses AI-assisted systems to generate responses. User prompts and relevant church-provided context may be processed by our service providers to provide the requested response.
The app is not designed to let AI replace clergy, counseling, emergency support, or professional advice.
Private chats and church sharing
Private chats are not shared with a pastor or church administrator by default. If a user submits a prayer request, asks to be contacted, or otherwise chooses to share content with the church, that submitted content may be visible to authorized church representatives.
Safety and crisis situations
The app may encourage users to contact a pastor, trusted adult, counselor, emergency services, or crisis resource when a conversation suggests self-harm, abuse, danger, medical need, or another situation that needs human help.
In an emergency, users should call local emergency services. In the United States, users experiencing suicidal thoughts or emotional crisis can call or text 988.
How we share information
We may share information with service providers that host, secure, analyze, or process the app; with a user's church only for church-directed features such as submitted prayer requests, contact requests, or church-admin configuration; and with legal or safety authorities when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use private chats for public church dashboards. Pastor-facing insights should be aggregated or anonymized unless a user explicitly shares content.
Children and teens
Churches may configure teen or family-oriented experiences. The app is not intended to replace parent, guardian, pastoral, or professional support. Teen-related features should use stronger boundaries and handoff paths.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, and support legitimate church or user requests. We may retain aggregated or de-identified information that no longer identifies a user.
User choices
Users may request access, correction, deletion, or export of personal information by contacting us. Some requests may require verification, and some information may need to be retained where required by law, security, or service operation.
